With temperatures warming up and  hundreds of miles of gorgeous coastline just a few hours a way, a trip to the beach is on many of our minds. But, also on our minds is COVID-19. Are the beaches even open? What about hotels and restaurants? And, how do we keep both ourselves and our families healthy and protect the people who live and work at the beach who we'll be interacting with? There's a lot to think about.

On this episode of Rise and Shine, two experts will weigh in and help us figure out if and how we can safely take a beach trip this summer. First, Karen Riordan, the President and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce shares what things are like right now in Myrtle Beach, and what your beach trip to her town might look like this summer. Then, Dr. Megan Durham, a Pediatrician at Wake Forest Health Network Pediatrics- Premier in High Point, walks us through the steps we need to take to keep our family healthy this summer should we decide to take a beach trip.
