Who dropped the hottest album of 2016? We’re about to find out as music’s biggest night is just around the corner. But first, we want your take on the nominees for best country album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards this Sunday.

With a couple familiar names, a newcomer or two, and a few living legends in the country scene, here are the 2017 nominees: Big Day In A Small Town, Brandy Clark; Full Circle, Loretta Lynn; HERO, Maren Morris; A Sailor’s Guide To Earth, Sturgill Simpson; Ripcord, Keith Urban.

Preview each artist below by checking out the lead single off of their nominated albums.

Big Day In A Small Town- Brandy Clark

Brandy Clark’s sophomore album, Big Day In A Small Town, can be interpreted anyway you’d like. With a very strong connection to fans, including her single “Girl Next Door,” it takes you through the emotions of what you want and realizing what you don’t need in a relationship.

Full Circle- Loretta Lynn

It is no surprise that Loretta Lynn’s newest album, “Full Circle,” is nominated for a GRAMMY. The country music legend, now 83-years-old, has been recording hits for decades. The album along with the song below, “Lay Me Down” (Duet with Willie Nelson), tells us her life story.

HERO- Maren Morris

Maren Morris takes us beyond expectations with the release of her album HERO. Morris is nominated for Best Country Album as well as Best New Artist. We see a different side of country that female artists don’t usually go to. The innovation of her lyrics gives us a sense of how Morris translates what she thinks of current and possible future situations.

A Sailor's Guide to Earth- Sturgill Simpson

I feel as if while you’re listening to Sturgill’s Simpson’s A Sailor’s Guide to Earth,” it takes you on a mesmerizing trip of a beautiful record. Simpson may not be our typical country singer, however, he sure does give the genre a good name with this album.

Ripcord- Keith Urban

I have one word for Keith Urban’s Ripcord album and that is, wow. Each song is a hit in its own way and shows off Urban’s incredible vocals and guitar skills. The album features country queen Carrie Underwood along with Mr. 305 himself, Pitbull.

The 2017 GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 12 on CBS.
