Kelly Ripa has had 'enough' of 2020 amid claims of 'extreme' behavior

November 22, 2020

Kelly Ripa has had “enough” of 2020.

The talk show host seemingly made the comments about the pandemic during Monday’s episode of the talk show.

Ripa and her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, were on the topic of the holidays. Seacrest expressed that he was ready to put up his Christmas tree early to bring on the holiday cheer, which prompted the comments from Ripa.

“I think we’ve all agreed to put up our trees early honestly, because it's enough already.”

“We've all had enough,” she added.

The comment comes amid claims that she’s been exhibiting “extreme” behavior on set, according to Popculture.

Many fans believe that she addressing the comments indirectly while calling out 2020 as a whole.

Concerns about Ripa’s behavior began circulating in mid-November on social media.

One fan questioned her recent behavior, while another agreed saying that she’s been “over the top.”

A third noted that Ripa and Seacrest’s dynamic seemed off and filled with “loud tension.”

Many comments also called Ripa out for not being able to finish a sentence without being cut off by his co-host.

Ripa, however, is no stranger to controversy.

In August, knee-deep in the quarantine, she made it clear she’s not interested in negative comments.

She clapped back at an online critic who shamed her on-air appearance.

After she shared a video on Instagram teasing the show’s season with a clip of her waking up, getting dressed, and brushing her teeth, one viewer said that his issue was with the “lack of personal grooming.”

“I mean it’s a nationally televised show. And I have to get dressed for every Zoom work call so why can’t you guys,” he commented.

“I’ll bring it up at the next meeting,” the 49-year-old shot back.

She also responded to viewers who criticized her appearance on the show in May.

Ripa ripped on the haters stating, “First of all, let me just say, to people commenting on our appearance: How dare you and you’re lucky that we actually put clothes on,” she said. “It’s harder than you think to roll out of bed and come to a TV show.”

She went on to say that she won’t let the negativity bring her down, adding, “I don’t care. I have a new outlook on life.”

For now, she has not addressed the comments calling her “extreme.”
