CBS announces holiday specials including 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' and 'Frosty the Snowman'

If you’re looking forward to watching Christmas programming for the remainder of the year, you’re in luck.

There’s no shortage of holiday content thanks to jam-packed lineups on Netflix, Freeform, and the holiday staple, Hallmark.

While many of those networks and streaming services are offering original content, CBS is taking audiences back to the classics.

According to a press release, the network unveiled its Christmas cartoon specials that’ll delight the whole family and bring out your inner-child.

On Friday, November 27, it’s going to get frosty as the evening kicks off with "Frosty the Snowman" followed by "Frosty Returns."

Saturday, November 28, will bring "Robbie the Reindeer: Hooves of Fire" (voiced by Ben Stiller and Jim Belushi) along with "Robbie the Reindeer: Legend of the Lost Tribe" (also voiced by Stiller, Belushi, and Hugh Grant, Britney Spears, James Woods, Leah Remini, and more).

The holiday-filled evening will wrap up with a musical special of "The Story of Santa Claus."

The fun continues on Tuesday, December 1 with "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," an animated special that’s sure to bring holiday cheer to your whole household. The 1964 film, narrated by the late Burl Ives, will air for the 56th consecutive year.

Hopefully, CBS' programming is making up for the massive void left behind by the exit of “Peanuts” content on ABC. The animated classics will air exclusively on Apple TV+ as part of a new deal.

As you gear up for holiday movie nights, be sure to put on your holiday jammies, deck the house with decorations early, grab some festive treats, and get to watching!
